Derek Mirabilio

A nine-year resident of Hamden, Derek Mirabilio is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University and currently in the MBA program at Albertus Magnus. He has been the curator for several multi-artist exhibitions for both professionals and students.

Derek’s special interest is the visual arts which he explains in his own words: “I am a professional artist with specialties in surrealism, realism, and abstract. My preferred media, to work in, are graphite/charcoal on paper and wood block. My artistic inspiration comes from a blend of worldly natural beauties and wonders combined with influences from deep meditation into surreal thought.”

Husband, philanthropist, art collector, cat lover, mountain biker, and long-distance runner, Derek hopes to bring his passion for the visual arts to the benefit of Hamden residents and area artists.
