The Hamden Salute to Young Artists is...

...a thirty-three year long tradition of honoring Hamden's most outstanding students in the arts. Every year the Arts Commission asks over 50 teachers in our area to nominate senior students (living in Hamden) who have demonstrated exceptional talent or abilities in the arts.

The select group of students then showcase these talents which typically include theatrical performances such as singing, spoken word, poetry recitation or original literature readings as well as a plethora of diverse visual arts talents ranging from illustration, ceramics, photography, collages, and more.

This event will take place in the handicap accessible Thornton Wilder Hall at 2901 Dixwell Ave. (Miller Library Complex) and is always free and open to any member of the public to attend. There will be a short reception directly following the performance portion of the evening.
