Anthony Bonadies

Bonadies is a former Chairman of the Art Department and Professor Emeritus of Art at Southern Connecticut State University. He earned degrees from Southern Connecticut, Columbia University and continued graduate study at the University of Bridgeport and the the International School for the Arts (Rome). He served as Director of Art for the Ansonia Public Schools prior to his faculty appointment at Southern. He and his son, Peter, operate the Bonadies Sculpture Studio in Hamden. His works can be found in private collections and numerous public sites including the busts of William Gillette at Gillette Castle and Thornton Wilder at Hamden’s Miller Library, and the Eli Whitney Museum.
