Sherwin Nuland

Dr. Nuland practiced surgery for over thirty years. Now he teaches bioethics, the history of medicine and medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine. He is also an author of numerous books including the National Book Award-winner How We Die: Reflections on Life’s Final Chapter (1995) and Lost In America: A Journey with My Father (2003). He is a fellow and board member of the Hastings Center, an independent bioethics research institution.
