In an effort to provide a unique perspective of 21st Century city life and culture in Connecticut and New York City, photographer Tom Peterson has been recognized in four international and two national juried competitions for single images. A serious photographer since 2003, Peterson has presented several exhibitions in the Greater New Haven Area including the City Gallery in New Haven, the Hamden Hall Country Day School and the West Hartford Art League. He has won various awards including Honorable Mention in Fine Arts Award at the Abstraction 2012 International Photography Awards Competition. Having two of his prints hung at the New Britain American Museum of Art within the last year marks yet another achievement on his list of accomplishments in the arts. His latest task is to build an epic urban poem through photographs.
